dome light update (c900)

Hey John, might be one of the door-switches that is broken, or a loose wire touching the chassis somewhere.

I had a problem with the dome light delay relay. There was a bad transistor in the relay assembly. The interior lights acted like there was a door open all the time. This drove the lock system and the alarm system crazy. I had to replace the faulty transistor in the relay, it was shorted. The fix was a piece of cake. I used a junk 2n2222 xistor from some dead dammit in the parts donor pile. The fix has been working fine for almost 2 years now.

I had a similar problem with our '87 900 after we bought it, turned out to be the switch (in the center console). I took the switch out, took it apart and it was all corroded inside (maybe because of water leaking in through the roof left open (happened to me too). I scraped it clean, sprayed some WD40 into it, put it together again and the light was OK.
