Just my impressions

Since when did a new Saab have a twin cylinder engine. All they have ever needed was 4 and a turbo to go quick. Although 3 and a bottle of 2 stroke oil came close.

Two cylinders is what the 2.3 is lacking..?

1949-1956, actually. The Saab 92, with an output of 25 BHP.

...not to be confused with the Saab 91 "Safir", which had a 180 BHP 4cyl engine and was somewhat faster and more manouverable.

In all honesty, my 3-cyl 96 two stroke Sab is more fun, especially in the snow, than anything newer. Including the 99 turbo.
