For values of "similar" which involve orders of magnitude less frequent, likely, or prevalent, yes.

Short answer: Use anything but Outlook. Longer answer: don't open any attachments, keep your firewall turned on, keep your security updates up to date, don't buy Windows next time around, and so on.

This is probably way, way off-topic for any of the groups it's on, but my email works if you'd like to talk about this in detail.
