Saab 9~7 is really a ???

Another rebranded car with a Saab name . . .

When will GM come out with a Saab rebranded GM pickup truck?

Does this same SVU get shared with other GM lines? Is it an actual Chevy drivetrain or is it from one of the other GM (American?) lines. (Chevy has the worst reliability of any GM line). Lastly, I know that Saab changes a fair number of components with the 9~2 Saaburu. Do they do the same with the 9~7 or is it all cosmetic/

The implications in the magazine ad are really galling. They imply that Saab engineers designed the vehicle, but they don't state it, and I would guess they didn't have a hand in it at all. Didn't GM dismiss all the Saab engineers recently?

The 9-7x looks almost exactly like the Trailblazer. The Saab-like exterior makeover is even less apparent than it was on the 9-2x, and that's really saying something.
