So do you think this is a good blend of tow capacity and weight "in-tow"?

Normally, in the US you will see a large motor caravan with a SUV in tow, presumably for local shopping trips. Reminds me of a yacht with a dinghy in tow.

OK, well done. I can see the point if you take the SUV somewhere into the wild. Will Saabo resist bear attacks?

Good question! Anyone else used their Saabo to defend against bear attacks?
Maybe the "Bear Attacks" are in the Saab Owners Manual??
