[Saab_c900] TRX tyres and wheels on early 80's C900's

Can't answer directly, but I am familiar with the TRX tires. Just ditch them and buy new wheels and tires. You can get standard sized tire wheel combo for the same price as a set of 4 metric tires and you'll be way ahead once you replace the tires once.

Thanks for the honest input. A few others have said the same thing, however since they TRX's are the original wheels for the car that makes them significant. I'll try to find sources here in Sydney and if they do work out ludicrously expensive I can take off the old tyres and just hang onto the wheels themselves.

Definately, my coffee table is a pair of rims/tires with a glass on top. You really want to have tires though at least on the rim on the top, and one that isn't completely worn down to the cords, it gives the table much more stability and keeps the glass on nice. It really is quite attractive, even if it is more costly than a cheap one from IKEA, and that is assuming the rims are free ;>

lol! a genuine 'metric' wheel probably makes a good talking point - it's sad that tyres for them are so hard to get. At least Michelin is a very big tyre maker so while they're making new TRX tyres there will be a plentiful, albeit still limited, supply coming into the market.
