1948 Champion

Hello Group!

I know this is an open ended question but I am looking at a 1948 4Dr Champion Royal Deluxe. I have dumped som photos at

The car has some rust around the doors and it appears to have never been restored. It will need a paint job, new interior and the normal restoration items. The engine does start and seemms strong and the car can be driven. I have restored a couple newer cars ('59 Edsel and '68 Galaxie) but never anything this old or a Studebaker.

My question is what would be a fair price for this model and how difficult is the restoration going to be due to part availability?

Thanks for reading... Ivan

First, a 4 door Champion is the bottom of the foot chain retail price wise. I'd guess a fair price would be in the $2000 range with a restoration cost exceeding the cost of a nice $5000 example.
