1964 Hawk

I'm new to this, so be patient. I have a 1964 Hawk GT, 289 2bbl... Auto, PS and no air. I bought it on a whim several years ago without much investigation of the condition of the car. It ran and drove great. The 289 and the transmission were supposedly "fresh". It is all there and has copies of all the manuals. Here's the problem... the car has some really bad "BONDO" work. The paint on the top bubbled up and after stripping the paint there, I found filler applied over damage without primer etc. The car has been parked (garaged) for 5 years now and I'm trying to decide whether to fix it or sell it to someone that knows what they are doing. How would I set an "as is" value on a car like this? I live in the Houston area.

The s/n might tell us if it was made the last day, in which case restoring it becomes more worthwhile for either the owner of to note in sales pitch.

I doubt that it has full instrumentation, but...

Someone should take a look at it.Where is it?

Karl, the car is in Houston, TX. It doesn't have the tach. I do have an extra instrument "panel" and all of the bezels to install a tach. I'll try to find the serial number.

Hopefully, Barry will join us here. He's near Bush.

My now canabalized 64v20152 was made the last day, which might be a guide. I think that no more than 200 or so cars of all models were made that day. As I recall.mine was about 9th GT from the end.

Actually, Barry has seen the car. He saw it right after I bought it. I owe him for another reason. I left him hanging on a car once which I feel bad about. Maybe he'll see this and reply.
