I need some assistance from you C/K guys.
As some of you may know, I am building a '53 Coupe project and it is going to be a total redo.
The '53 I am starting with is soooooooooooooo far gone it is not worth saving other than a few parts. I had a '55 coupe body shipped here from CA but, in tearing it down, it is in pretty damned poor shape. Lots of damage to it and it is in need of floors plus there is rust in the drip rails and roof I didn't count on.
I have a '61 coupe body here that has already recieved new floors and, for the most part, is a VERY nice body. I can see the driveshaft tunnel is different between the '53/'55 and the '61 but I think I can work with that. Are there any other differences that would keep me from using this later body tub for the project?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated as I don't really want to throw a shitload of work into a so-so '55 body tub. Most likely, I'll just eat the $1200 I have into it and call it a lesson learned if I can use the '61.
Thanks,
Lee DeLaBarre Daytona62
