A month or so ago I placed an ad on the 56J list for an engine & OD transmission for a 56J. I have been overwhelmed with the responses. The problem is that 90% of them have been from African con artists with a very limited command of English, who say they are interested my purchasing my 56 Golden Hawk. I get several of these per week & have already gotten 2 today. Most say they or their agent will pay imediately via a cashiers check or MO, & some say they will pay some extra to cover the shipping "to the UK" as most say. This must be a booming cottage indusrty for a good number of people who seem to have nothing to do but harvest info from web sites & send this spam out to potential suckers. Be careful about responses to ads on web sites!
