Back home, and back on the newsgroup. I was away working at a wellsite from mid
-July until this past Tuesday. Got home, and found my wireless broadband was down because they had reconfigured the system while my modem was powered down. A tech had to come out and reconfigure my modem; then I still had to putz around with their tech help line to get DNS service in my computer. For some obscure reason, I coud not get newsgroup access while on the network at the rig, although I got e-mail and Internet OK. Go figure.
Had a good shop day today, didn't touch a Studebaker, but I did get a brake job done on a friend's Pontiac Sunfire, and I made some progress putting a floor in the spare tire well on the old Flxible coach. I needed a piece of sheet steel 35" X 42", and I found a suitably flat piece in an old Datsun pickup hood. So my spare tire well will have a red floor with a decal of galloping horses on it. Kewl! Started getting dark and chilly (where did Summer go?), so I packed it in without getting all the welding done. But I at least made SOME forward progress. Life is good again!
