It's still got a few days to go but I think his starting bid is much too high.

Yep, if he'd started at a grand, it would be over 7K by now. I started by 63 GT at $200 and it's at 11K now, if I'd started at 10K, I probably would not have a bid. I love auctions like his, toss in a 7K bid at the end, maybe get a bargain second chance offer from a frustrated seller.

Another hint; set your reserve high, then lower it near the end. All the bidders will get a note that you dropped the reserve and will often bid again just to see if they'll hit it.
