Library key: At the end of the last episode, they had removed the transmission gear from the key ring after I said that I wasn't going to wear good pants if I had to have that in my pocket. They had replaced the gear with a plain keyfob.

Today, the the key was on a rawhide string and a 6 inch wooden cut-out of a car on the other end. I went to see security. With hand on the wooden car hanging from my belt, I asked,"May I assume that someone went home with the key?" The answer was affirmative.

"May I suggest that, in the future, the person getting the key swap his car key for it?"

(Repeat of dropping of jaw, as in previous issue: The Case of the "Stolen" C&P Magazines.)

Moral: If you need a solution for a minor problem, ask someone who has a had a life full of minor problems - most self-created.

Later, while sorting five boxes of donated books, I found some un-used

1984 Kendall pocket diaries. Grabbed one of them babies right away. Something distinctive to pull out. (Most diaries and calendars come back into sync every seven years, on average, IIFC.)

At home, just now, I looked it up.

1984 was a leap-year and it won't be good until 2012!

Hell, If I ain't dead by then, chances are I'll be blind or senile!
