OT Search problem

My sister took a course on photography and tried to get a book the instructor said was on his site. She punched the site into her AOL Searcher and got a "no luck" answer. I put into infocuslearningcenter into Google on my earthlink and got it easily enough, even describing, over the phone, the photo of the instructor so she would know I wasn't kidding her. Today, she and a neighbour, tried again and got the same "tough s*it." She called me and I repeated the process from yesterday, getting a "nothing found using infocuslearningcenter" like they got. As I said, I got through to it yesterdy.

When a site is down, will it not be picked up by a search engine or is there some other answer?

Sometimes the problem is with the website and it's HTML coding. I followed JP's link, and got pretty much a blank page with some slideshow running... (using Netscape) The site works just fine in IE and Firefox...... Tell her to check for browser updates, or try loading the site with any antivirus programs she may have turned off.

AOL censors a LOT, it has been shown by some others.. PLUS Yahoo is having a severe worm problem, that might be disrupting a LOT of traffic as well. --Shiva--

I got to it fine using the link JP supplied - same as what I found through Google the other day. I clicked on Boot Camp and started down-loading the class notes my sister needed.

In the meantime, she tried to get to the site, but failed - about the time my machine froze up!

Hell, let her get the notes fro the instructor!

Thanks, guys Karl
