Very nice, but it is either actually a '55 or someone swapped the dash at some point in time... also the dual exhausts say '55 to me as well...

I noticed that too, but the engine appears to be pre-55 (fuel pump on top, high-rise intake). Paul Johnson
It's a '53 with some '55 parts--dash has the '55 Champion instruments, dash pad and stainless strip holding the bottom of the pad but also the '53 chrome strip past the radio. Rear seat armrest is post '54 also. Easy to put on duals and the rear lower panel. Just need to check the VIN...then the mystery would be solved. But for now...."...is a puzzlement..."

Doesn't the G in the vin make it a Champion??? I believe so...
