This serial number is within the range of serial numbers assigned to 1966 V8 engined Studebakers. The numbers are simply sequential. They don't hold any other information. Under the hood is another plate attached to the firewall on the passenger side. It tells us the body type and body number. There might be paint information (if it hasn't fallen off) on a paper form glued to the underside of the glove box.
