Don't there have to be more parts to be a "Rube Goldberg" rig?
Those were used quite a bit in the earlier days of OHV egines. Especially on Chevy 'Stovebolt' sixes. At least one company also pushed the protection from sludge build-up by eliminating condensation under the valve cover.
