I checked out the Chilton and Hayes web sites and they have no manuals for this Outback.
Anybody have any ideas where to find a manual?

On eBay you can buy CD-ROM manuals (a collection of PDF files). I got the one for my '99 Legacy 2.5GT for less than $10. It seems complete and official. I have no idea where the seller got it.

techinfo.subaru.com you can get a 72hour pass and download all you want. They have all the service manuals, tech bulletins, recall notices. It's the same system the dealer uses. The haven't got the SVX stuff up yet but everything else Subaru is there.
