Price Checking 2001 LLBean Edition

Hello all.



Earlier I found another Subaru on a dealers lot in my pursuit of replacing my `93 Explorer. This is a white, automatic, LL Bean Edition 2001 Outback wagon with around 55k miles. The dealer is wanting $19,xxx.xx for it and my question to everyone here is, is that too much for a 2001 model? I've been seeing other Outback wagons (non LLBean) going for around 10-12k for the same 2001 year model with around 65k miles. If that is high in price, what is a good price to negotiate down to to where I wouldn't be able to go lower than?

FYI,

My Outback 2002 AT 2.5L with 75K km (~46K miles) was estimated around $20K CDN when I was exploring an option to swap it with new '05 H6. In Vancouver, BC, Canada, where I live $21~$23K CDN (~$16.8KUS ~ $18.5US) for a car like this was (by my opinion) ok price. I think you can go as low as $15KUS. Then again I do not know for sure what is the difference between L.L. Bean edition and regular 2.5L AT.

Just to give you better picture what my car has:

- 2.5L 4 cyl. engine

- Automatic transmission (4 gears with overdrive)

- Power all (windows, doors, mirrors...)

- Alarm system,

- front seat heaters

- ABS, I guess that's all I can remember that is important.
