I found washer liquid slopping about behind the driver seat in my 96 Legacy and the washer bottle was, not surprisingly, empty. The pipe seems to run from the washer bottle pump into the front wheel arch then where does it go please - under the carpet? Gil

Yes and no. It actually runs under the carpet and the plastic plate under the door opening. If you pull up on that plate and fold the carpet back a bit, you should see the hose. I'm not sure where it goes after the doors, but my guess is your leak would be in that area if the fluid is ending up there.
