i did take off the fuel line from the filter to the motor and there was fuel pouring out when the key was turned on but the actual fuel pressure hasn't been checked how do i go about doing that?

it won't run off starter fluid now either! and i have not checked the fuel pressure how do i go about doing that? and if it is the fuel pump how expensive and hard is that going to be to fix is that something that i could do myself?

The correct way is to use a pressure manometer for check of fuel pressure.

In this case maybe a problem of ignition yet.

Ralf what problem in the ignition are you referring to and how do i go about checking that problem i will get the manometer and check the fuel pressure. What should the fuel pressure reading be? so that i know if i am getting the proper pressure?. In advance i would like to thank you for all of your help thus far.

Depending from type of pump they are using in this vehicular. I would you recommend to read a shop manual for this car. They have some procedures to check some devices like ignition, complete fuel supply. etc. and to inform about parameters.

do you think it could be the timing even know that it was running just before all this started could it be that the fuel pump just quit?
