Another recall, don't know how many units it affects, but just the fact there is yet another recall does not bode well for the automaker.
If Toyota were smart, they'd go back to the way they were making cars in the 80's to get the confidence in their brand back again. Of course, this is going cost more per unit to make each car.
But Toyota is also not in a position to raise prices right now, either. The perception among Joe Six-packers is going to be, "They're selling JUNK, and they're going to RAISE prices?!?!"
Of course, Government Motors got away with this for years, because they could. Toyota in the US, although they sell a lot of cars here and have a large following it still struggling to be the #1 seller in the US, and all of thisis not going to fare well for them.
Look for bargains coming from Toyota again...
If you already have a Toyota, don't expect to sell it at the premiums their used cars were going for before.
