We have a Camry that's about a year old (2004) and we're getting drips of oil on our driveway.
Took it to the dealer. They said that Jiffy Lube (the only place we'd had the oil changed) just hadn't cleaned the oil off of the bottom of the car.
Took it back to Jiffy Lube and their story was that this was a problem with Camrys of this year and that they didn't damage the vehicle when changing the oil.
Took it back to the dealer. They said it appeared to be just residue on the undercarriage of the car. I know this isn't the case as every couple of days there's a new drip on the driveway.
Before I take it back to the dealer I'm curious as to whether anyone is aware of an existing problem with this year of CAMRY.
I'm trying to determine if Jiffy Lube's story is bullsh*t or not. If there is a history of trouble with this make/model then I want it fixed under warranty. If not then I think Jiffy Lube should cover the repair costs.
But right now the dealer hasn't pointed the finger at J-Lube yet, just said it looked like residue on the undercarriage.
Any thoughts?
