This unit came out of '98 Toyota 4Runner, does anybody know for sure if it will fit and work in 96 4Runner. Thanks

Um, what IS it?
It is an audio system of some sort. The first to characters in the part number (hachiroku to you) is for an audio system.
Sorry I wasn't clear on my posting,it is a Toyota AM/FM/Cassette/CD audio system, I need one for my 96 4Runner, mine has double din unit Radio/cassette and slave CD player and this one is one unit 3 in 1.

OK! Now, to answer your question, if it fits in the dash (chances are it will) and the plugs mate up (chances are they will) then put it in and plug it in!
Toyota changed plugs in 1991 or '92, and they are ALL the same. I have a friend that has the same unit from a Matrix in his '92 Sleeker Phoar GT (remember him?) er, Celica GT 4. Installed No problem!
