92 Camry Tail light problem

Hi,

My 92 Camry LE has no reverse or tail lights whatsoever. That is, all the lights attached to the trunk do not work at all. I checked the bulbs and they are all good. Also, I checked the fusebox and the tail fuse looks fine as well. There is moisture that gets into that area when it rains (and I live in Seattle) but the wires seem to be fairly well insulated.

Any recomendations on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

Alex

Sounds like a connector has come undone (You say there are NO lights?) or a section of the wiring harness got severed.

Check the harness between the trunk and the body in the vicinity of the trunk hinges. They like to get pinched and severed there, or someone threw in some big cargo and a connector came unplugged, or if someone opened and closed the trunk a LOT the wires can flex to fatigue and snap internally.

If the rest of the tail-lights that are permanently mounted work, it's got to be in the harness to the trunk lid somewhere...
