Family dealerships are a vanishing breed no matter the brand. The "Big Guys" are taking over just about everything. Look at Walmart, CVS and Walgreens, the telcos, ISPs, hospitals, etc.
In fact, the big guys took over in the ISP business and it took way less than 15 years for them to do it. (It took less than 5 years actually.)

I think it was snipped-for-privacy@privacy.net who stated:
Hmmmm . . . I've heard of folks doing such on the Scion Life Forum, but looking at my own xB, it doesn't look like something I'd like to do. When the seats are folded down, everything's kinda lumpy; that is, they don't lay down very flat. It makes loading stuff interesting, sometimes, and it looks downright uncomfortable for sleeping.
I've never thought of mine that way, but I still think of it as a TINY SUV. Maybe you want to spend some time down at your Scion dealer's, folding seats this way and that, and trying different things in the back. Sound kinda FUN, in a slightly warped kinda way . . . .
