car windows not operating

i have a 96 corolla and the back passenger left window will not operate when you press the button. Same thing happens when you try to open the window from the driver side. The other 3 windows work on the driver and passenger side. I know it is not the button, could it be wires or the fuse? and how would i come to fix it?

Possible causes of an inoperative power window are:

A bad master switch by the driver (the switch at the inoperative window will not work if the master switch is bad) - fairly common if the driver is a smoker;

A damaged wire in either the driver's door or affected window door where the wire loom passes from the door frame through the door;

An open in the fuse or circuit breaker (you would have to check what caused the fuse or circuit breaker to open)

A damaged wire elsewhere in the circuit;

A frozen or jammed window regulator or a gummed up window frame;

A bad window motor

How you would fix the problem depends on the cause of the problem. I would start by diagnosing the cause of the problem. Remove the inner panel of the affected door and check for power at the motor when the switches are activated. If there is power at the motor, then the motor is bad or the regulator is jammed. If there is no power a the motor, remove the inner panel of the driver's door and look for damaged wires. If there are no damaged wires, you will need a wiring diagram to check the master switch.
