Corolla 1993 1.8 Tail Light/Dash Light issue

Already got the ticket for it but wonder how I can fix this issue. I started my Corolla up the other day and heard a pop that sounded like a fuse from the fuse panel within the car (near my left leg while driving :)) and the dash lights went out. Later I was politely informed my tail lights were also out. My brake lights work fine. I am unable to find any information short of possibly picking up a Chiltons or something but anyone know which component would control this. Just hope it's something I've missed. Thanks in advance, seVenth

Things I have checked: All fuses in the fuse panel. I've swapped around the relays near the fuse panel and none of them helped. Checked (to the best of my ability) the fuses and relays within the engine compartment but honestly I was reading labels on the boxes and could not decipher a TAIL LAMP or DASH LAMP written on any of them.

If all of the fuses and circuit breakers are good and closed, then check the grounds at the tail lights. Of course, you have checked the bulbs to make sure they are good, right? Is there power at the lights? If not, then start tracing backwards towards the power supply.

This might not help but my Supra shows both are on the fuse "tail." There is also a fusible link "alt" but that can not be the cause.

If the "tail" fuse does not have 12 volts at the J/B I would check the back side of the J/B for a obvious bad connection.

Once the battery ground and the kick panel are removed there is usually one screw holding the J/B so it's not to tuff to access the back side. Several ground points are there also.

Tail lights and Dash lights share the same fuse.
