We ARE fighting Iran in Iraq....

Before we destabilized Iraq, Iran's adventurism was limited by an enemy to the East and an enemy to the West. We removed both enemies. What did you think would be the result?

Or, a better question: Why didn't you think about this result?

You're probably wrongly ASSuming that I think Iran wants peace for noble reasons. Why would a country want to talk peace otherwise?

But we're not bragging about it, and as long as we keep it secret I have no problems with it.. But GW Bush has a child-like need to be noticed and praised, so he may do the stupid thing and launch a well- publicized attack that will impress himself and all the idiots who worship him but that will inflame the Middle East even more and weaken the US further.

Now why do you think that an Iranian secularist who hates the current government there would warn us against going to war against Iran?

What polls show this?

I don't know who did them, but the polling company wasn't Iranian. The approval rating there for the US was a lot higher than the 1-5% it is in other Muslim nations in the middle east.

If all polls are full of s*it, what other ways do *YOU* have for finding out what public opinion is in other countries, like Iran?

Living there for eight years before the Iranian Revolution I have somewhat of an understanding how people there think. I also have many friends here who escaped from Iran and still have family there they communicate with on a regular basis.

The way to deal with Iran is through a position of strength. There is no way they will negotiate if it is to their disadvantage. They are masters of political manipulation as you have witnessed so far. This means we must quell the uprisings in Iraq in a swift and ruthless manner. We must show we have the stomach and the will to do what is necessary to win. So far we have not shown that to the world with the way we have been pussy-footing around in Iraq.

To leave Iraq now would be a disastrous sign to the rest of the world that we are afraid of doing anything against those who defy us. It will embolden our enemies even more than they are now. The reason they are so today is not because we invaded Iraq but because we haven't finished the job yet.

Dumbshit. Our destabilization of Iraq, and the expenditure of resources there, has indisputably increased Iran's power and influence in that region. Iran can basically laugh in our faces, now.

Plus, they can f*ck with us risk-free, by encouraging the instability in Iraq, just like we used to do when we funded the Afghanis against their Russian occupiers.

Ever consider that "winning" is not possible? There's multiple groups, vying for power. How do you settle that score? Huh? Idiot.

Your president removed Iran's enemies to the East and West. What effect did YOU think that would have? Or, didn't you give that any thought?
