(OT:) Did we all have a good "Carbon Belch"?

Carbon belch day was Thursday. I hope we all made the most of it.

Conservative grassroots group Grassfire.org wants people to waste as much energy as possible on June 12 by "hosting a barbecue, going for a drive, watching television, leaving a few lights on, or even smoking a few cigars."

The point: the group wants to "help Americans break free from the 'carbon footprint guilt' being imposed by Climate Alarmists."

Grassfire.org says it's skeptical over claims that man-made sources of carbon dioxide emissions -- from automobile exhausts to manufacturing plants -- are raising the Earth's temperature at a dangerous rate. Theories about global warming were highlighted by former Vice President Al Gore's 2006 film, An Inconvenient Truth.

Hope we all did our part. It was a beautiful, sunny, no-humidity day, so I took my Supra (~17 MPG) on a 120 mile round-trip service call, top off and burning gas all the way. And real gas, too since I filled it in Vermont and didn't use any Ethanol crap.

If it hadn't been 85 degrees I would have turned the heat on before I left...

I didn't know about that day. If it's not too late, I think I've still got a couple of cans of R12 in my garage I can open up. I just want to do my part!

I burned tree limbs from clearing the ally and a big one from the neighbor's tree yesterday. Smoked up the neighborhood for a while but the mosquitoes didn't bother us.

I'll even PAY for it!

Please tell the environut whackos that I'm already the worlds largest source of methane. I inherited the title from my dad when he passed on in 1999. He had a T shirt "World's Largest Source of Natural Gas". I waft air biscuits with regularity. I've also been known to SBD. My carbon footprint is probably larger than my own car.

I'm two days late, but I drove out to the Rail Museum here (Why do I find it incongruent to DRIVE to a train museum?) and it's at least 20 miles out in the country, that's at least a gallon and a half used.

If they don't quit bitching about my carbon footprint, I'll eat beans for every meal from now on and come over and sit on their porch afterwards.

And just to educate their stupid sensibilities:

Beans, Beans, the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you toot. The more you toot, the better you feel. So lets have beans for every meal!

Fill it with a blend of 20% butane, 80% propane, and use a cigarette to test for leaks.

Does your Mazda's AC have spring lock fittings on the hoses? I've heard they leak much more than conventional ones.

I've heard that's a good coolant...

No, it has the regular fittings.
