Is that something like a Divining Rod?

Every time I'm about to let you have it, you crack me up. If you'd lay off the caustic BS, you'd be a pretty funny guy.

so there.

Nah, I form my own opinions. Just like you do after listening to NPR and reading Move On's most recent newsletter.

Actually, I never heard of Move On until I heard about it here, from one of the musketeers.

It makes all the difference in the world.

I'm going with the odds. Rush Limbaugh is much less likely to get his facts right than is a serious, experienced journalist. Limbaugh couldn't even get right the facts about his own oxycontin use.

You are a joke. Limbaugh is more correct than the vast majority or your so-called "experienced journalist". What a laugh you are.

As I recall, that wasn't what he wanted. I believe he expected to manage the curriculum for the school.

This all probably started because the bozo didn't read the notes the kid brought home from school. I can't say for sure that the school in question does a good job of this but 80% of the phone calls and visits where my wife works would be avoided if parents would just read the stuff the kids bring home and/or open any mail from the school.

Of course, the broader question is, what's this bozo's real problem? If the kid doesn't read about kids who have two mommies does that mean families with two mommies don't exist?

Not at all. I heard a telephone interview with the guy. All he wanted was the option to opt his kid out of this kind of material, and to be notified when certain subjects would be taught. The Principal refused. It was on the Howie Carr show, and also covered in the Boston Herald.

I don't recall hearing anything about any notes. I think if there had been notes he wouldn't have gone to the Principal's office demanding notes!

Why is he a Bozo? I would have a lot of trouble with someone teaching this to my 6 year old, too. 14 years old is a little different, but 6 years old, I want to know when they're 'teaching' this kind of crap, instead of what the kid *should* be learning.

They haven't got money for music or art of phys ed, but they have money for this garbage? Bullshit.

Not really, you could say the same for the BBC or NPR. They have their biases, often just as bead as Limbaugh's. Don't try to tell me otherwise; I listen to them *ALL*.

If he's reporting something happeneing somewhere, then what makes it any less legitimate?

I know how to listen to Limbaugh, just like I know how to listen to NPR and the BBC. You can't say NPR spins any less than Limbaugh. It all depends on the story.

Ya gotta understand something here, l,m,c. I listen to them ALL, I get the FACTS and then I form my OWN opinion. I ?don't let Limbaugh tell me how to think. I can do that quite nicely on my own, thanks.

I just use him as another source. A bit more in tune with my own feelings and beliefs, but just another source.

Amazing, since you seem to believe everything they spew.

Now, let me pose this to you. Do you know why I started listening to Limbaugh? Because he voiced MY opinions. Not the other way around.

Reply to
Hachiroku

That's a dangerous habit if it means you ignore new information from other sources. People close to Bush say he mainly listens to people who agree with him, a behavior totally inappropriate for someone in a position with that much power.

Just remember what Limbaugh said about his purpose. You know what he said, right?

Reply to
JoeSpareBedroom

No. And that's not important.

Missed the part where I said I listen to NPR and the BBC?

Reply to
Hachiroku

I saw it, but you usually mention them in a demeaning way, because you were told to say they were overly biased sources.

Reply to
JoeSpareBedroom

What Limbaugh says about his purpose is not important? You might be shocked to know what he said. It's ugly, and you would agree.

Reply to
JoeSpareBedroom

Oh, you mean to entertain? Yeah, I knew that. He says it all the time.

Reply to
Hachiroku

You don't know what he said, but you know it's not important. You're so much like a typical Rush Limbaugh fan and unlike BBC and NPR listeners.

To divide, actually. The exact opposite of what Reagan's worshippers say was his best quality.
