I'm only semi-familiar with 84, but it goes right through Newburgh - there's a gas station (or two or three) visible from 84 at that point - before you cross over the Hudson (going west to east).

The problem is they are not open late at night.
That is not a problem anywhere else on my route....you can count on finding gas just about anyplace at any time.
