I've been using Agent for years. I purchased Agent 3. After a valiant attempt to figure out 3's logic, I became totally disgusted with it and went back to 1.9.

I used OE for years and tried many different newsreaders. They were just too complicated to use or didn't offer any significant improvement over OE to make it worth my while to change. Finally I discovered Xananews and despite some minor bugs with it have been very pleased with its general usage. As a prior OE user I suggest you give it a look, it's the closest real newsreader in functionality and feel to OE.
I use OE6. I do not expect much from a newsreader though. All I need is for the posts to appear in the right places.
Always works out nice when it's free too! Some newsreaders might go a little overkill on the bells and whistles, and not everyone needs them. Usually comes down to what you're personally comfortable with. : )

The idiot's choice.
Now, that's funny coming from you ...
He is amusing now and then.....
