Ping TeGGeR®, Philip, Qslim, MDT Tech and anyone else interested in seeing a -not- sludged up 1MZ-FE

I recently had the valve covers off my 1999 Camry LE V6 and took pictures. At 85,250 miles, the longest interval between oil changes was 3078.5 miles . Average interval probably 2800 miles. Only Mobil 1 5w-30 used since 5484 miles.

I warn you, put the kiddies to bed. This engine looks -horrible-

TeG: Do you have room for another 10MB or so of pics to compare and contrast with Qslims rebuild? I have all records (lots and lots of unnecessary detail including the last

20K MPG) in an Excel doc, if you want 'em.

Got lotsa room.

Absolutely. The more the merrier.

You can email the pics. My mailbox will handle the load. If you get any bouncebacks, split it into two messages.

As additional contrast, have a look at these pics from our Tercel from this past weekend.

bought this car almost 2 years ago with 51K miles on it. It now has just over 60,000. This is the first time I've had the valve cover off. I think the original owner was perhaps not too diligent about oil changes. My Integra's engine had less buildup than that at 200K.http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/sludge/nosludge.html(down at the bottom)

You have mail! Nice shots of the Tercel.

Thanks, Yota
