R.I.P. (Rest in pieces) Corolla FX-16

The latest tally for fixing that car is way more than we'd like to spend, so we're selling her for parts.

*sniff*

I get such a lump in my throat when I think of our years together!

I've emailed hubby if he wants me to go ahead and get the Scion he picked out while he was visiting (He's on a remote tour of Korea until mid-June)

*sigh*

I'll miss that old gal

Hope you don't have any new calipers for sale?...

My God yes, isn't that the ugliest thing on wheels?...I like the tC...not much liking for any others...

The Xa looks a bit like the way overpriced Matrix. Bob figured it was time to ditch the Corolla the last time we had it fixed, so I know he won't want to do anything with it now.

Yeh, the xA isn't too bad. I do like the Matrix, my wife loves it, I have a 2000 Corolla, works extremely well, tight as a drum, absolutely NO rattles although we live near the shore on a somewhat rough road...most reliable car I ever had...

I like the Xb, but then agin, remember my post about quirky Jap cars. The guy who rents a bay at the dealer for detailing is thinking of getting one to letter up and promote his business.

Funny thing is, I hate the Honda Element, but I like the Xb. It would make a good vehicle for hauling the band stuff around in.

Then again, so would the 1930 Dodge Paddy Wagon I ran across! Now THERE'S a bandwagon! (Of course, done up in black with a pearl mist and the 1930's style "Police" lettering in gold, etc...too bad the name Police has already been taken...)

hehehe, thanks. I've called and told Courtesy Toyota how pissed off I was that they opened that car up without checklisting parts. It was working when I went in there, but once they took it apart, you can't put those parts back in, since they were rusted through. I doubt my rant will help me with the situation, but I needed to vent!
