A determined psychopath will not care about deterrents.

You just made a statement involving numbers, by using the word "majority". I need to see your source of information. Provide link(s).

Do it now.

Yes he will. And he does. This is very well documented. Even a psychopath is not suicidal until he has done his damage.

Someone who is psychopathic will not care or even know who or what is around them. They are delusional otherwise they wouldn't be there shooting.

Not this time. You made a claim. Back it up. Otherwise, be a man and say it was just a guess, and a really stupid one.

Another claim from a guy who is an expert at......what?

What are you trained to do? We know you're not a shrink, and we know you DO NOT READ.

His solutions are as useless as those promoted by hoplophobes.

  1. It's none of anyone's business what I own. Only arrogance makes one think that gun owners are under some sort of obligation to justify ownership. I'm pro-choice. Don't want a gun? Don't buy one. Don't want me to have one? Tough. It's my body, my money, my choice.
  2. People all over the United States, to the tune of hundreds of thousands each year, are saved by handgun ownership. Perhaps you'd like to see just the criminal own a gun. BTW, explain to me how you'll get non law-abiding citizens to turn in their guns.
  3. Have a look at crime stats in areas, before and after, legislation is passed to allow concealed carry. Then compare it to those areas with the most restrictive control or outright bans. Australia would be a good place to start for the latter, along with D.C., England, and currently Illinois in the news.

In EVERY state, without exception, when laws were passed allowing the carrying of a hangun, violent crime has been drastically reduced.

Have fun digesting the facts.

You most certainly can. Ignorance rears its head again.

The Second Amendment isn't about hunting animals. So sorry.

Wow. Did you have help with that one, or think it up all by your lonesome?

I remember bringing my .22 to "sharing" day in sixth grade.

Incredible, huh?

Interesting timeline, isn't it? If someone is really interested, they could go back in time and see interesting coincidences, etc., during that same time frame.

Even if he did, he'd never understand what he saw, how it was done, and the time needed to perfect that response.

He, too, listens to Scott's .mp3 recording.

Ask any police officer what a potential thief or burglar most fears. They ALWAYS respond, "An armed occupant."

Deterrent? You bet.

Andrea What's-her-name's bathtub has killed more people than any of my guns.

So has Ted Kennedy's car.

Fact remains, guns are weapons of choice. If I were you I'd be worried and keep your NRA membership up to date. Electing gun friendly senators and representatives won't work either. You are out numbered and the numbers keep getting worse by the year.

He'll probably ask how you know that's true. This guy conducted interviews with prisoners at some point, and wrote at least one article about their responses.

Sorry - too busy to find the exact page, but I'm sure it's archived there somewhere.

Two New York State game wardens told me that even if they never had to deal with armed poachers in the Adirondack wilderness, they'd still never set foot in the woods without handguns. They told me to continue carrying my gun when I hike to remote fishing spots. Reason: ferile dogs.

Tell me they're wrong, and why. I'll go make some popcorn.

He will when said deterrent perforates most of his internal organs!

Ever wonder why these psychopaths don't choose to shoot up police stations or gun shops?

The idiot doesn't even have to read anything to get this answer. As I said, just ask any cop.

The cite you gave is excellent. Bookmarked for future use.

I nominate this for best answer in the thread.
