Replace or Weld exhaust manifold? '96 Corolla

I found a shop that has 3 options for fixing the crack at the front ofmy exhaust manifold.1. Replace with new $350-450 with labor2. Replace with used $190-2203. Weld if possible $120-145I had never even heard of welding a manifold. But they say they can doit if the crack isn't too bad.What is my best choice?If they can't remedy the problem with welding. I would rather get anew manifold.

I was in California at the time, so I don't know if the problem and SSC covered Federal vehicles or not

(um, the car cost $250, but I had just put a $300 motor into it...)
