Toyota / Daihatsu Tuning

IIRC, Daihatsu is a division of Toyota, as is Hino.

I would guess that a 1.5l engine in a Daihatsu is not too far from the 1.5 in a Tercel.

What is the model number of the engine, and does it SAY Toyota on it anywhere?

Probably, since Daihatsu is partially owned by Toyota.

Not sure about where you are at, but fuel injected vehicles generally do not have an adjustment for idle speed. If idle speed is incorrect, check for: vacuum leaks; leaks in the intake between the air flow meter and throttle body; clogged air filter; and problems with the power steering and air conditioning idle up circuits
