Damn, man if I had the scratch I'd buy the seat right next to you!
Actually, Montreal is a closer venue for me, but alas I didn't make it there either.
I was going to make a post I'd hoped you'd pick up on; 1. what happened to Alonso? I leave for 5 minutes to have a 'seat in the executive lounge' and I come back and he's off! And I also thought that was a bogus call on, er, you know, what's his name!
And I was rooting AGAINST M. Schumacher! Back in 1994 or '95, I told my wife, "Watch this guy, he's going to be GREAT!" Well, I guess I was right! But he's TOO great. He's even worse than Mansell was in...er...'95? When the only person he had to lap was himself!!! Remember that! Well, Schu was there always near the front of the pack. Then he got signed by er..Benneton was it? And he actually brought them some success!!! No doubt Ferrari, the once dominant but now falling star in the F1 world would sign him. Once they got their um..'stuff' together with the mechanicals and hired a kick-ass driver it looked like they would be unstoppable! And they were. This is the first year in a while Schu actually has had some competition. Coultard and Hakkinen were poised to give him a run there for a while, but then their mechanicals started to faulter, and Ron Denis just couldn't hold the team up, and Ferrari started running away.
This looks to be a good season; I wish I still had Speed so I could see more of it. I don't think CBS is going to broadcast this one, so let me know what happens.
Of course, if you have $400 or so you don't know what to do with, I'll give you an account number! ;)
