1990 camry dealership vs seatbelt

Jan 15, 2006 3 Replies

has anyone had any luck getting toyota to pay for (or help pay for) the faulty shoulder seatbelts in their 1990 camry. i've read a number of posts on this group re: the number of issues with these seatbelts, so i wanted to know if i should even try getting toyota to pay for the safety issue in their cars. thanks!

aaron;

It might be one thing if you had this problem with a 2003 - 2005 Camry, but your car is _sixteen_ years old - I realize this is not considered unusual for Camry, but you need to keep things in perspective.

What's wrong with the seatbelts? Is this a recall?

Most can be fixed by taking the rewinder apart and simply cleaning all the lint, hair and dust out of it - and spay it wil silicone spray. Car didn't come with a lifetime warrantee!
