In Chilton I see a hose at the bottom of the pump called air hose and an adjacent one unmarked, both at bottom of pump. Any definition of these two hoses will be appreciated. Thank you, Seamus J. Wilson

I believe they are vacuum hoses - rasing idle speed to compensate for steering pump engine loading at slow speeds.
