Hi my rear windshield brakelight just went out and I was wondering if anyone knew how I can get access to this light so I can replace it. Also what type of bulb do I need? Thanks for your time and effort

I'm not sure about the 2001, but earlier version Camrys describe the procedure with a drawing and type of bulb in the Owner's Manual.
Have done this on my 2000 and suspect it's pretty much the same on your
2001. Just open the trunk and the plastic brake light frame releases are visible at the top. Gently push them out of the notches in the deck. The light holder is now loose and can be removed from the rear deck after you disconnect the wire harness. Remove the light bulb and get a replacement at Wally World or your local part store.MotorsForum website is not affiliated with any of the manufacturers or service providers discussed here.
