97 Camry rides low in back

I've noticed on lots of Camrys of the same generation that even with a light load in the trunk or passengers in the rear, they will ride pretty low in back. Mine does this. When we hit even small bumps, it feels like the bump continues to "echo" in the cabin for a second or two afterward as well (like a vibration, I guess). I do not know when or if the struts were replaced before, but is this something I should expect even if I have them replaced?

New shock-guts in the rear struts (they usually replace the strut itself) will not raise the rear-end. That is done by the springs, which may need resetting to their original height and spring-rate.

My 96 does a similar thing when loaded,...the lower rear height is a Camry thing, tho not to the extent it looks obviously out of trim.

That generation of Camrys have very weak springs in the back to begin with. I heard the ones toyota used for V6s are ok. You just need to get better springs.

My 99 Camry V6 sits much higher in the back.
