I have been noticing that this cable is stiff going from D to 2 or 3. Anyone have any problems with this cable as in breaking it!

I have been noticing that this cable is stiff going from D to 2 or 3. Anyone have any problems with this cable as in breaking it!
The usual cause of this complaint is from having spilled some kind of beverage on the center console that dries with a sticky residue. Check there first.
