I am having trouble removing my 5 speed transmission to cahnge my clutch in my 89 camry all trac. I have all of the bolts out and can't split the transmission from the engine by more than 1/2" in any one place. This has me stymied.

You've probably got it separated by now,..but, sometimes the clutch or input shaft welds itself inside the spiggot or support bearing in the end of the engine's crankshaft. Unfortunately, only equally applied force will get it to let go,.....best of luck!
ps,..try a couple of tire levers,..one on each side of the engine-g'box split.
