TSB information needed for 2004 Cmary XLE

I have what sounds like exactly the same problem on my 2002 Camry (Japanese manufactured) and would be interested in seeing the TSB too. The other TSB's for 2002 didn't solve anything. I think that I am on the verge of solving it myself. ie.-the rubber molding or trim that acts as a lip to repel the water off bottom of windshield. The rubber molding or trim is mounted on a plastic canopy. The plastic canopy about 1/4" from top of lip is rattling against the bottom of windshield.This is not visible, but when you push in on the molding, it makes a similar noise (cracking pop noise sounding like metal on glass) as to what you hear when drive. Am in the process of shoving window putty inside to silence plastic canopy at the contact point.

Go to "files", click on TSB's, then go the the NV (noise/vibration) folder and you'll see it in there. Just put it up tonight at your request and several others.

think that I have solved the problem by inserting circular rubber spline material (for screen doors-available at any hardware store) underneath the rubberized lip along the base of the windshield. I made sure that a seal remains between the lip and the windshield. The spline material was inserted far enough in- to stop the plastic cowling from rattling against the base of the windshield. No more noise.

T, What was the diameter of the spline and what length. Does it go the entire length of the windshield?

T, I got a chance to try your fix today and took the car for a ride, looks good, no more noise. I had some window spline laying around and used it. It measured 0.150" (3.8 mm).
