4runner Gas Leak after Timing Belt/WP replacement

Aug 07, 2006 1 Replies

This becoming an ongoing saga! After taking only 3 weeks to finally finish the timing belt and wp replacement as well as pwr steering pump, my 3.0 l 4runner has developed a gas leak.

Anything I could have done to create this?

Any ideas on how to find it?

Fuel rail? Injectors?

Check the connections to your fuel rails. I accidently left them loose and created a leak. Another area could be the gaskets for the fuel injectors, the best thing to do is have someone turn on your ignition, but do not start the engine and look for the leak. Make sure you wear goggles or a face mask.
