I have a 89 pickup that came from the factory without a cigarette lighter outlet. I would now like to install one. My question is where are the wires to hook it up and what do they look like?

Get the factory cogarette lighter ass'y along with the metal bezal/surround that goes with it. The wire is right there and will just plug right in. An aftermarket one will get warm and melt out, you need the metal bezel, it doesnt come with the aftermarket. If you get it fromt eh dealer, tell them you want the metal surround too. It doesnt come witht e socket ass'y
