Clutch help

95 4runner 22re

Clutch was getting a tad harder to push. The other day it needed to go to the floor to engage. Shortly after it is "stuck" in the disengaged position and will not move.

Thoughts? How much cash are we looking at here?

Sounds like your basic text-book case of burnt-out clutch? Just a guess, I've never burned a clutch.

For that, around 500-800 dollars.

Clutch Slave Cylinder

$125 if I do it.

Thoughts?..............

bleed the system and see if you can't get your pedal back, and how long it will last.

Yes slave cylinder is 1st suspect , I put new fluid in my 82 ( and must have bled it...dont remember ) and it has been OK for 2 years now...but the proper repair would be to replace the slave cylinder .

tim ( very nice truck , but body a little rusty )...best investment I ever made !
