If this is a four clyinder, look under the intake manifold above the starter. It really is in a terrible place.

Loosen the banjo bolts (fuel lines) before taking the filter loose from the block.

carbed filter is near the fuel tank. Not REAL easy to get at but sound much easier than the FI unit.
No, on early trucks, they were on the pass inner fender, on later carb'd ones, it was under the bed in fromt of the RR tire.
